Christiana Samai carries a pot of ginger juice at a fundraising dinner for a Sierra Leone school.

A dinner held in December raised over $1,700 to put toward a well for a school in Mabureh, Sierra Leone.

The dinner included an authentic African supper, and was hosted by Sherri Fowler. The Samai family, refugees from Sierra Leone, spoke at the event, which was an evening filled with African proverbs, songs and dancing.
