The Creston branch of the Royal Canadian Legion recently made presentations to Cresteramics and Mormon Hills School students.

Cresteramics received a donation of $750 toward its summer youth program, which requires its own funding — Community Living BC funds day programs for adults, but does not fund programs for people under 19. The program, “Unique Teens Working Toward Independence”, has been hosted for the past two summers.

Mormon Hills students received certificates and prizes for their winning Remembrance Day poster entries in the East Kootenay zone. Esther Blackmore’s first-place showing qualified her poster for the provincial competition.
