Creston Mayor Ron Toyota recently signed a proclamation declaring April to be Daffodil Month in Creston

Volunteers for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life are doing a bit more to recognize those who have been affected — and they need photos of anyone who has had, is living with or has been lost to the disease.

“We’ll make a great big panel for the luminary booth,” said volunteer Jen DeYoung.

Luminaries are candlelit paper bags that make an emotional evening display at the June 2 event, and are sold during the day.

Pharmasave has volunteered to collect photos, which can be dropped off there before the relay.
