Creston RCMP Const. Dave Black has wrapped a flurry of Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) programs at local schools in preparation for his transfer to the Lower Mainland.

“On behalf of the Creston RCMP, I would like to extend our gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Dairy Queen, Overwaitea and Tim Hortons for donations to the grade five DARE graduation ceremonies for 2011,” he said. “Your donations were used at Adam Robertson Elementary School and Erickson Elementary School.”

A total of 70 children went through the program this year and Black said this would not be possible without the valuable participation of community partners.
